How
do I sign up for Dart Express Net Internet Banking?
Simply contact your local office
to obtain an application. Once the application has been signed your
Dart Express Net user ID and PIN (Personal Identification Number)
will be assigned and you can begin banking online. You can also complete
our on-line application (from the home page click on Banking Online
and then Apply) and submit it to us via mail. Within 72 hours of receipt
of your on-line application you will be contacted with your Dart Express
Net user ID and PIN.
How do I get started?
Dart Bank will assign you
a Dart Express Net ID
and PIN to use when signing on to the system. The first time you
sign on to Dart Express Net you will be prompted
to change your PIN. Your
PIN must consist of 4 – 8 alphanumeric
characters.
Note: Dart Express Net Internet Banking is best viewed with Netscape
Navigator 3.02 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or
higher. Your browser must support 128-bit SSL encryption. If your
browser does not support 128-bit encryption, you will need to upgrade
your browser. You can do this through our website by clicking Banking
On-line and then Software Requirements.
How can I change my Dart Express Net PIN?
You can change your Dart
Express Net PIN simply
by clicking the drop down menu under Services and click on Management.
Under Account Management Options click
on Change Dart Express
Net PIN. You will be asked to enter your PIN, your new PIN and to
verify your new PIN. PINs can be alphanumeric
and must be between 4 – 8 characters in length.
Why is my account locked?
You are allowed three (3)
invalid sign-on attempts before the system locks you out. If you
are locked out, please call the bank at (517) 676-3661 or (800)
968-6818 (the toll free number is an automated service, press 0
to speak to an operator during normal business hours).
How can you ensure the security of my bank information?
Dart Bank follows strict
standards to ensure the
security of your banking information online. Some of these standards
are listed below:
- Your banking information never
travels the Internet
without encryption protection.
- Your
account numbers are
never sent through the Internet,
only the assigned names (it does
appear on statements or check images).
sessions have a 10-minute
time-out limit requiring
you to login again once the limit is reached.
- Three incorrect login attempts
will lock out
the Internet banking account.
What can I do to protect my account and
personal information
while I’m banking through the Internet?
Memorize your Dart Express
Net ID and PIN. Your Dart
Express Net user ID and PIN verifies you when you begin an Internet
banking session with Dart Bank.
- Do NOT use the save password option
on your computer.
- Do NOT
write down your ID
and PIN or reveal it to anyone.
- Change
your PIN regularly.
It’s important to periodically change
your PIN.
- Remember to sign-off
when you are
finished banking online.
You may not always be at your own computer
when you bank online.
Therefore, it’s important to Exit when you’re
finished banking or leave
the room for a few minutes while in an open banking
session. For your protection,
Dart Express Net automatically
logs you off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
I created an alias for my Dart Express
Net user ID, but can’t
remember it. How do I get
into the system?
Simply use the original Dart
Express Net ID number that was assigned to you when you opened your
Internet Banking account. If you cannot locate the original Dart
Express Net ID number, you may call us at (517) 676-3661 or (800)
968-6818 (the toll free number is an automated service, press 0
to speak to an operator during normal business hours) and it will
be mailed out to you. Once you are logged on you can create a new
alias.
I’m having trouble signing in.
What am I doing wrong?
More than likely you have
forgotten your PIN or you entered an invalid PIN. You are allowed
three (3) invalid sign-on attempts before the system locks you
out. You will then need to call Dart Bank during normal business
hours at (517) 676-3551 or (800) 968-6818 (the toll free number
is an automated service, press 0 to speak to an operator during
normal business hours) to have your user ID unlocked.
The system has stopped accepting my commands and the login screen
appeared. What happened?
The system may have been
idle for 10 minutes or longer. For security purposes, the system
is set with a default feature for a 10-minute time-out. If the system
is not used for 10 minutes, your session will become inactive and
you will have to login again.
Can I download my account information to my financial management
software?
Yes. You can download account
information to Quicken, Microsoft® Money or a spreadsheet program
such as Excel or Lotus. The
information may also be saved
as text and exported to any word processing software. Refer to your
Dart
Express Net Home Banking
User Guide for step-by-step
instructions.
How late in the evening can I transfer between accounts?
The transfer cut-off time
is typically 6:00 p.m.
EST Monday – Friday, except bank-declared
holidays. Transfers made before 6:00 p.m. EST Monday – Friday
will post on the same
business day. Transfers
made after 6:00 p.m. EST may post on the same business day if done
early enough, but
should not be depended
upon as they will likely
be posted on the following business day. Transfers made on weekends
and bank-declared
holidays will post the
following business day.
What should I do if I receive an error message during a transfer?
Do not immediately “recreate” the transfer. Although
you may not have received a confirmation number, the transfer may
have posted. First, check the account the transfer was from, and
then check the transactions in the account to which the funds were
transferred. If no debits or credits appear on your accounts, then
the transfer was not completed. You can then “re-enter” the
transfer.
How current is the account information I access through Dart Express
Net?
Transfers made on-line through
Dart Express Net will appear
as a memo post item on each
account once a confirmation number is given by the system. Other
transactions
received by Dart Bank during
the day, including electronic
transactions, may be shown as a memo post. Memo post items will
update the Available
Balance, but will not affect
the Current Balance, or the
balance shown in the transaction history until after the bank’s
nightly processing.
